MP3 Editor for Android Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MP3 Editor (the “app”) handles information when you import, record, edit, convert, export, or share audio in the Android version of the app.

The Android app is supported by advertising through Google AdMob, including personalized ads. It does not offer in-app purchases.

Audio and Project Data

Audio processing takes place on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload your audio, recordings, or projects to our servers for editing or conversion.

The app accesses files you select through the file picker or open or share from another app. These may include audio files, videos whose soundtracks you want to edit, and images you choose as cover artwork.

Projects are stored in the app’s local storage. They can contain imported or recorded audio, project names, creation and modification dates, tracks, markers, and editing history. Settings and batch-processing presets are also stored locally. Temporary copies may be created when importing, converting, exporting, or sharing files.

Permissions

You can manage permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working; microphone access is not needed to edit existing audio files.

Sharing, Exporting, and Backups

When you choose to share an export, the app passes the selected files to the app or destination you select through your device’s sharing controls. Exports may contain metadata you enter, such as title, artist, album, and cover artwork. Files saved to shared storage, such as Music or Ringtones on Android, may be accessible to other apps with the appropriate access.

If you import from or share to a cloud storage provider or another service, that provider handles the transfer under its own privacy policy. Your device’s backup or transfer features may also copy app data according to your device and account settings. MP3 Editor does not provide its own cloud account or synchronization service.

Advertising and Data Collection

We use Google AdMob to display ads. Google’s advertising SDK collects and shares data for ad delivery, personalization, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. This can include:

The app does not provide your audio, recordings, project contents, or cover artwork to AdMob for advertising. Advertising data collection is separate from the audio processing performed on your device.

See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google’s advertising SDK data disclosure.

Personalized Ads and Your Choices

Personalized ads can use information about your activity across apps and websites to infer your interests. Advertising services may use mobile identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies for these purposes.

Where required, we ask for consent before using personal data for personalized advertising or accessing advertising identifiers or local storage. You can review or withdraw consent through the app’s advertising privacy options where available. Your choices and applicable requirements determine whether personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads can be served, or whether ads are unavailable.

Non-personalized ads can still involve data collection, such as identifiers used to limit repeated ads, measure advertising, or prevent fraud. They do not necessarily mean that no data is collected. See Google’s explanation of ad serving modes.

You can also manage your advertising ID in Android’s privacy or ads settings and review Google’s controls at My Ad Center. Available controls vary by device and Android version. Changing these settings does not necessarily remove ads.

Diagnostics

The app does not use a separate crash-reporting service. AdMob may collect diagnostic and usage information as described above.

Retention and Deletion

Saved projects remain in local app storage until you delete them or remove the app’s data. You can delete projects from the project list. To remove the app’s remaining local data, use your device’s app-data removal controls or uninstall the app.

Deleting a project does not remove the original files you imported, separately exported or shared copies, or device backups. Manage those copies in the relevant file manager, receiving app, or backup service. Temporary files may remain until the app’s data or cache is cleared.

Deleting local app data does not delete advertising information already processed by Google. Google retains and handles that information under its privacy policy and provides controls for managing it. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, withdraw consent, or object to targeted advertising. Contact us using the email below for requests about data we handle, and use Google’s privacy controls for information it handles.

Contact Information You Provide

If you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you include. We use this information to respond to your request and provide support. Please send only the information needed to explain your issue.

Security

Local app data is subject to your device’s security and access controls. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You control which files you share and which apps or services receive them.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
